this SOULSCAPE is a series that centers a family griefing. Navigating the loss of a loved one, this SOULSCAPE becomes a prayer for this family - in an attempt to visualize a prayer for them, three words were used for each piece

the words “heal” and “pain” were used in each panel, while each piece had a unique word chosen for the individual

“protect” is used for the son, which is a command as much as it is a prayer of protection

“yes”, for the mother, is encouragement for her to continue to say “yes” to herself, in service of herself

“no”, for the father, is encouragement for him to say “no” to others in service of himself
